string(2650) "Research shows that the most successful people out there have a daily morning routine. These morning routines vary, but for the most part they all include some type of writing, reading, exercise, meditation, etc.

I recently discovered a morning routine called SAVERS and not only has it turned around my mornings, but its turned around my days as well. It has altered my mindset and not only can I see a difference, but people around me have been noticing a difference as well. I’ve been receiving comments such as, “You seem really settled, grounded.”  Personally, I feel more confident, satisfied, productive and self-aware throughout the day.

SAVERS stands for the following:

Silence

(I prefer to use a guided meditation from a downloadable app called ‘Breath’).

5 to 10 minutes.

Affirmations

I pick an area of improvement that I am personally focusing on and I am very specific when I am repeating my affirmation. For example, “I have a great memory. My strong memory makes my job much easier. I am able to remember even the smallest details about my candidates and clients.” (And I swear it has helped).

1 to 5 minutes

Visualisation

I recently completed a Values/Goals workshop. Each morning I pick one of my Goals and I visualise myself living in my life as if the Goal has already been achieved. I close my eyes and can imagine, picture and feel myself living my life with that goal accomplished. I pick a different goal each day.

1 to 5 minutes

Exercise

My normal morning exercise routine is running down to the beach, swimming in the waves and then running back home.

30 minutes

Reading

I am currently reading 2 books, ‘Secrets to running a lucrative temp desk’ and ‘Nice girls don’t get the corner office’ and I switch it up.
10 to 20 minutes

Scribe

I have a blank journal and each day I focus on 3 things: Gratitude,  Ideal Day & Daily Implementation.

Gratitude

I write 3 things that I’m grateful for that day

Ideal Day

I write 3 things that would make today the ideal day (Professional or Personal)

Daily Implementation

I write down 1 act that I’m committed to doing today.

5 minutes

This routine now has me looking forward to my mornings. I no longer am waking up and rushing around trying to get to work. I am waking up, completing SAVERS and feeling focused, accomplished and motivated all before 7am.  Give it a try and let me know what you think!"
