string(1687) "There has been a lot of attention recently around whether animals should or should not be allowed in the workplace. As well as the argument in favour of allowing pets in the office, there is obviously the opposition.

Here at Cox Purtell we are incredibly pro having pets in the office, in particular our Director of Cuddles, Daisy! (See our Instagram page for endless snaps of her!)

Daisy gets more attention than any pet ever should and is a welcome addition to the team.

Not only does she provide an escape from the day-to-day stresses in the office, she is also a great talking point for us with our dog loving clients and candidates.

There are those that would disagree with us, undoubtedly allergies do not help but, if we are focusing on dogs here, allergies certainly come into play. Another argument against having a dog in the office is that they can be a distraction and have also been known to chew up those pricey Louboutin kicks!

The International Journal of Workplace Health Management released a study on the effects of having a dog in the workplace and the results were interesting. The study revealed that a group of individuals working with a dog had reduced levels of stress at the end of the day, compared to the group that were deprived of the dog.

Being a crazed dog fiend myself, I believe every office should have their own Daisy!
