The Media & External Communications Advisor will support the manager in protecting, growing and enhancing the organisation’s reputation through effective issues management, high-value media campaign execution; and resolute media risk mitigation across the organisation’s service lines

Specific aspects of this role will be;

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with communication specialists from across the business to support high-value media and public relations (PR) opportunities for the organisation.
  • Develop an understanding of the business and its challenges to support the identification of media stories and the preparation of high impact media results
  • Work with the Public Affairs and Customer, Digital and Brand teams to ensure that effective PR leverage is gained through media stories, thought leadership themes, customer stories, corporate sponsorship’s and events

Successful candidate will have formal qualifications in Communication and ideally experience within government or health related industries. Experience in developing relationships with NSW media will be ideal, as will prior experience in dealing at a Ministerial level.
