  1. Do you charge for finding me a new role?

    No, there is no fee associated with assisting you in finding a new role.

  2. I have used agencies before and they never got back to me. Why are you different?

    Cox Purtell recruitment specialists operate with Honesty, Integrity and Respect in all our dealings. We treat people like we would want to be treated ourselves. A testament to our candidate care is the amount of referrals we get from candidates we have worked with in the past.

  3. I resigned from my role and my employer made me a counter offer with more money. What do I do?

    Always think about why you wanted to leave in the first instance.  If you had outgrown your role, the offer of more money will only keep you for another few months. While you may get a few extra dollars, the role content will remain the same.

  5. What are the advantages of applying for jobs through an agency?

    We can negotiate on your behalf, keep you informed of any new jobs on the market and provide advice and support through the whole process.

Temporary Candidates

  1. What type of visa do I require to work in Australia?

    A working holiday visa which entitles you to work and travel in Australia for one year.

  2. How do I register with your agency?

    Send your resume to our temp team outlining your skills and background and we will arrange a time for your to interview and skills test at our offices.

  3. How will I need to dress for interview?

    You should always attend interview in a suite, ensuring you present in a neat and tidy fashion at all times.

  4. How much time should I set aside for interview?

    You need to set aside approximately 1 hour as you will be required to complete a registration form and complete basic skills testing (unless you have done so at home, prior to registration) and then interview with one of our recruitment specialists.

  5. What do I need to arrange so you can pay me?

    You need to set up an Australian bank account and obtain an Australian Tax File Number.

  6. Do I get paid for holidays and public holidays?

    No. Under the award you get paid for the hours you work.

  7. What day do I get paid?

    Every Monday, so depending on who you bank with, you should have access to your pay on Monday or Tuesday.

  8. When do I have to submit my timesheets?

    You need to submit a time sheet which has been signed by you and the client by close of business every Friday .
