Accounts Assistant | Sydney CBD

  • 📍 Sydney CBD – 5 days in office

  • 💰$38 - $42 per hour + super

  • 🗓️ 1-month contract (22nd September – 23rd October)

We’re seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our client on a short-term contract. This is a great opportunity for someone confident in Xero and with strong bookkeeping and administration skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enter, produce, and email accounts receivable invoices

  • Enter all approved accounts payable invoices

  • Create and complete weekly payment runs for accounts payable, expenses, and other payments

  • Reconcile bank accounts in Xero daily and follow up discrepancies

  • Enter and reconcile credit card transactions, follow up receipts with cardholders

  • Manage the finance mailbox, action and follow up on items

  • Assist with non-financial tasks such as creating registers and organising documents

About You:

  • Proven experience using Xero(accounts receivable & payable)

  • Strong proficiency in Word and Excel

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
