Are you a hands-on finance professional who thrives in a busy, high-volume environment? We're looking for an experienced Accounts Officer to join a close-knit finance team supporting the operations of a highly respected not-for-profit association supporting the hospitality industry.

Reporting to the CFO, this role is perfect for someone who’s highly organised, thrives under pressure, and is ready to take ownership of both accounts payable and receivable across multiple entities, with the opportunity to get involved in month-end and compliance duties too. You’ll be a key player in a small, collaborative team, working alongside a motivated accounts assistant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end Accounts Receivable & Payable for multiple entities (including high-volume event receipting and weekly payment runs).
  • Work with internal stakeholders and external subsidiaries to resolve queries and provide finance support.
  • Maintain accurate membership payment records in Salesforce (integrated with Xero).
  • Support with general ledger reconciliations, journals, inter-company transactions, and fixed asset registers.
  • Assist with managing tax compliance including IAS, BAS, FBT, and income tax returns and lodgements.
  • Assist with budgeting, financial statement preparation, audit processes, and EOFY reporting.
  • Help implement new systems and contribute to continuous process improvement.

What You Bring:

  • Proven experience in an Accounts Officer or similar finance support role.
  • A collaborative, team-first attitude - you're proactive, communicative, and keen to help.
  • Strong working knowledge of Xero.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills - English language fluency is essential.
  • Excellent Excel skills and a detail-focused, analytical mindset.
  • Experience in high-volume processing role.
  • Comfortable working in high pressure situations with an ability to juggle competing priorities.
  • Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential financial data.

Why You’ll Love It:

  • Work for an amazing manager, join a supportive and appreciative culture that values initiative, flexibility, and contribution.
  • Opportunity to grow your skills and take on diverse responsibilities across multiple areas of finance.
  • Be part of a team where your voice is heard, and your work directly impacts successful events and programs.

If you're someone who enjoys rolling up your sleeves, owning your role, and making a difference - this could be the perfect opportunity.
Apply now and bring your strong transactional finance skills to a team that values what you do.
