Accounts Payable Assistant
$65,000–$80,000 + Super

Full-Time, Permanent role- Close to the Metro

Based near Crows Nest, this mid-sized business has a stellar reputation and over 50 years of success delivering iconic developments. You’ll be joining a supportive, friendly team in a stable, long-standing organisation.

We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills to support key business functions—primarily within the finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to grow and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Distribute invoices and remittance advice to suppliers and subcontractors
  • Creditor Setup and Maintenance
  • Verification of Creditor Bank Details
  • Collate Subcontractor Claims each month ready for payment
  • Follow up with chasing outstanding compliance documents
  • Ensure missing Compliance documents are uploaded to Payapps
  • Maintain Monthly Cashflow Spreadsheet of Subcontractor Claims
  • Maintain Register of Subcontractor Retentions and Bank Guarantees for all current and previous projects
  • Maintain Subcontractor Payment Term spreadsheet for each Project
  • Email of monthly Remittance advices to Suppliers and Subcontractors
  • Handle all enquiries by subcontractors via phone or email
  • Filing of invoices and claims once paid
  • Reconciliation and entry of staff reimbursement claims including follow up of receipts
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to resolve queries
  • Maintain the AP Master List, including managing credit applications and conducting ABR checks
  • Chase credit notes and outstanding compliance documents
  • Handle filing, archiving, and other general administrative tasks

What You’ll Bring:

  • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an Accounts Payable role
  • Ability to engage professionally with people at all levels
  • Exposure to Payapps and Jobpac is preferred but not essential
  • Highly organised, self-motivated, and capable of working independently
  • Effective time management and planning skills
  • You must have full working rights in Australia
