Sydney | Hybrid | 12-Month Contract (High Potential to Convert to Permanent)

We’re seeking an Application Support Engineer to join a UX support team dedicated to ensuring smooth and reliable front-end application experiences. This role is ideal for someone with a web development background who has transitioned into technical support and thrives in a structured environment where process, service, and user experience intersect.

What you’ll be doing

  • Delivering a high standard of customer service, keeping stakeholders informed and maintaining clear communication throughout the support cycle
  • Providing front-line application support through ticketing systems, ensuring incidents and service requests are logged, tracked, and resolved within SLA
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues in line with ITIL / ITSM processes, including incident, problem, and change management
  • Reading and debugging JavaScript to identify root causes and apply fixes or workarounds
  • Escalating and collaborating with UX, development, and infrastructure teams when issues require deeper investigation
  • Delivering a high standard of customer service, keeping stakeholders informed and maintaining clear communication throughout the support cycle
  • Contributing to knowledge bases, FAQs, and process improvements to drive continuous service quality

What we’re looking for

  • Experience as an Application Support Engineer, Technical Support Engineer, or similar support-focused role
  • Background in web or front-end development with the ability to bridge dev and support
  • Strong working knowledge of ITIL / ITSM processes and ticketing systems (incident, problem, change)
  • Proficient in JavaScript debugging with familiarity in HTML and CSS
  • Skills in Linux and SQL are highly advantageous
  • A customer-focused mindset with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Ability to work from the Sydney CBD office two days per week
