Job Title: Compliance Officer
Salary: $120k + super
About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Compliance manager to join a team on a permanent, full-time basis. In this hands-on role, you will ensure that operational and regulatory obligations are met across key areas including WHS, risk and compliance, Finance, HR, IT, Transport, Insurance, and WWCC compliance.
Working closely with a NSW school teams and central support for multiple campus' across NSW, you will play a key role in supporting effective governance and compliance practices, contributing to a culture of transparency, accountability, and alignment with organisational and state-level compliance expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of operational and regulatory compliance across NSW schools.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting to meet statutory and organisational requirements.
- Monitor WHS, risk, insurance, HR, IT, and other compliance obligations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of governance processes and practices.
- Collaborate with school teams and central support to ensure alignment with compliance policies.
- Provide timely communication and guidance to internal stakeholders regarding compliance requirements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide general administrative support to the compliance team as required.
About You
- Demonstrated experience in risk and compliance, highly regarded.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to write, interpret, and present data clearly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks under time constraints.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships across teams.
- Experience in NSW schools and database management (e.g., Sentral, Donesafe) is desirable.
- WHS Certificate IV or auditing certification is advantageous.
