Delivery Experience Manager
Melbourne, VIC | Onsite| Permanent Full Time South East Melbourne
$130,000 to $150,000 + super + bonus (depending on experience)

We are working with an established and growing last-mile delivery business operating at a national scale, partnering with some of Australia's most iconic retail and home improvement brands. This is a business with serious heritage, ambition, and a fast-moving culture to back it up.

We are looking for a high-performing Delivery Experience Manager to take the reins of a national fleet, build a genuinely high-performance team culture, and bring the strategic thinking and best-practice rigour that comes from operating at the pointy end of a world-class logistics environment.

There are no layers of bureaucracy here. Just a clear remit, a team that is ready to be led, and a real opportunity to make your mark.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead, develop and performance manage a team across a national delivery fleet
  • Shift the team from reactive to strategic, identifying what is not working, building the plan, and holding people to account
  • Own safety, service, and cost outcomes across your remit
  • Use data to identify trends, track performance, and drive better decision-making
  • Cultivate strong relationships with principal contractors and key client stakeholders
  • Partner with the Allocations team to ensure seamless operational delivery
  • Drive tech implementation and continuous improvement across your fleet
  • Build a high-performance culture where standards are clear and excellence is the norm

About You

You are an operator who leads from the front, and you know the difference between managing a team and actually building one.

  • Comfortable on the ground, close to your team and accountable for real outcomes
  • A natural people leader with a track record of building high-performing teams
  • Strategic and proactive; you see around corners and put plans in place before things become reactive
  • Data-savvy, using numbers to tell a story and drive better outcomes
  • Technically curious with a genuine willingness to learn. Transport knowledge can be taught, but attitude cannot
  • Customer-obsessed and commercially aware
  • Hold a valid driver's licence and are based in or able to work from Melbourne
  • Background in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Experience from world-class logistics or e-commerce operations highly regarded

Why This Role?

  • Speed, agility and autonomy. This business trusts its leaders to move fast and get things done
  • A genuine opportunity to build something, reshape a team, lift the bar and leave your mark
  • A leaner, faster-moving environment where your decisions carry real weight
  • Be part of a business investing in its future, including one of Australia's largest last-mile EV fleets

If you are an operations leader ready to step out of a big corporation, bring your best-practice toolkit and actually build something worth building, we would love to hear from you.
