An opportunity to step into a leadership role within a well-established, purpose-driven membership organisation, delivering a high-quality events program for a professional audience.
This organisation plays a key role in supporting and connecting professionals across its sector, with events forming a central part of its member engagement strategy.
About the role
As Team Lead, Events, you’ll take ownership of a diverse and high-volume events portfolio — from large-scale conferences and gala dinners to intimate networking events and webinars.
You’ll lead a capable and established team, providing direction, support and coaching, while ensuring every event is delivered to a consistently high standard.
You’ll also act as a key partner across the business, working closely with internal stakeholders to bring ideas to life and ensure events align with broader organisational priorities.
What you’ll be doing
- Leading, mentoring and developing a small events team
- Planning and overseeing delivery of a full annual events calendar
- Managing end-to-end delivery of large and complex events
- Delegating and coordinating workload across the team
- Partnering with internal stakeholders (marketing, design and beyond)
- Managing suppliers, venues and event partners
- Overseeing budgets, forecasting and event performance
- Driving continuous improvement across systems and processes
About you
You’re an experienced events professional who brings both leadership capability and hands-on expertise.
You’re confident managing stakeholders, comfortable leading a team, and still enjoy being close enough to delivery to ensure quality outcomes.
You’ll likely bring:
- Strong experience delivering a broad range of corporate events (large and small)
- Previous experience leading or mentoring a team
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- A structured, organised approach with strong attention to detail
- A proactive mindset and focus on continuous improvement
- Experience within a membership organisation or professional services environment (highly regarded)
Why this role?
- Lead a well-established and capable team
- Own a diverse, high-volume events portfolio
- Join a respected, purpose-led organisation with strong industry presence
- Hybrid working environment (Brisbane-based)
- A genuine opportunity to shape and influence how events are delivered
Additional information
- Some out-of-hours work required (with time in lieu provided)
- Occasional travel within South East Queensland and regional areas
If you’re looking for a role where you can combine leadership, stakeholder engagement and high-quality event delivery in a fantastic organisation, this is a strong next step.
