Finance Manager
Location: Sydney CBD
Salary: $80 per hour + Super
Immediate Start

Our client are a national membership organisation who are in need of a Finance Manager to start immediately, supporting the COO and managing a team of 2. They are looking for someone who can come in quickly and hit the ground running.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, including preparation of management accounts, Board papers, and strategic analysis.
• Oversee compliance and audit processes, including statutory reporting, tax returns, and engagement with external auditors.
• Maintain robust financial systems, controls, and reporting tools (including Power BI).
• Manage payroll, accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and cash flow.
• Provide investment management oversight and financial modelling to support strategic goals.
• Develop and implement finance policies and ensure ongoing process improvements.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance team to foster a high-performance culture.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure best practice in financial management.
• Support the COO and act as a backup for broader finance functions as needed.

About You:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
• 10+ years of accounting or other relevant experience.
• CPA, CIMA, or CA qualified.
• Strong technical skills, system skills, including with CRMs, LMS, integrations.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, multi-tasking and detail-oriented skills.
• Ability to make sound decisions and take responsibility for delivering to plan and on time.
• Ability to embrace change in response to new initiatives, strategic direction, or external requirements.

As this is a temporary role for 3-4 months initially, candidates on temporary visas are welcome to apply if you fit the role requirements.
