About the role

This is a critical, standalone hire for a business that is ready to professionalise its technology function. Reporting to the Head of Operations, the IT and Business Systems Manager will take full ownership of the technology environment, covering IT operations, business systems, and eCommerce integrations. The immediate focus is a significant Shopify B2B migration project, alongside managing an MSP transition and stabilising the existing systems landscape. This role is well suited to someone who is commercially minded, comfortable operating without a team beneath them, and able to act as a credible strategic voice on technology decisions for senior leadership.

Duties

• Lead the migration of the B2B ordering portal from WooCommerce and WordPress to a Shopify B2B solution, scoping requirements, briefing external developers, and managing delivery against agreed timelines and outcomes.
• Take ownership of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP environment, working with the third-party implementation partner to reduce operational dependence and improve system reliability and data integrity.
• Manage and continuously improve the HubSpot ecosystem, including service, sales, marketing, and B2B ordering hubs, with a key upcoming decision on renewal or migration ahead of the May 2027 contract expiry.
• Oversee the IT environment including the managed service provider relationship, cloud infrastructure, identity and access management, and end-user computing, acting as the internal escalation point and ensuring service accountability.
• Manage integrations across ERP, CRM, eCommerce, and operational platforms, maintaining data accuracy across orders, inventory, customer records, and reporting, and translating business requirements into clear technical briefs for delivery partners.

Requirements

• Strong experience managing business systems, IT environments, and digital platforms within a growing organisation.
• Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or a comparable ERP platform.
• Solid working knowledge of HubSpot CRM ecosystems and practical experience with Shopify, WooCommerce, and WordPress environments.
• Experience managing APIs, integrations, middleware, and complex data flows across multiple platforms.
• Proven ability to manage external developers, managed service providers, and technology vendors, including holding them accountable to deliverables, hours, and quality standards.
• Strong project coordination capability, with experience translating business requirements into technical documentation, user stories, and delivery briefs.
• Commercially minded, with the ability to balance operational priorities and strategic technology improvements and communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working within eCommerce, retail, wholesale, FMCG, or distribution environments is highly regarded.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Systems, Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline preferred.
