JAPAC Marketing Operations Manager

Sydney | Hybrid | 12 Month FTC | $140-150k + Super

Our client, a prestigious fortune 500 SaaS company recognised for its market leadership, culture, and impact at scale (you'll likely have heard of them), is seeking an experienced JAPAC Agency Operations Manager to join their Sydney team.

This is a senior, hands-on operations role with broad exposure across JAPAC, partnering with multiple external agencies and internal stakeholders to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery across content and event initiatives.

The Opportunity

Reporting into regional leadership, you will own the operational backbone of agency delivery across JAPAC. You’ll be responsible for agency performance, operational workflows, budget governance, and reporting, acting as the central point of coordination between agencies and internal teams.

This role suits someone who thrives in complex, fast-moving environments, is comfortable operating autonomously, and brings a calm, solutions-focused approach to stakeholder and agency management.

Key Responsibilities

Agency & Partner Management

  • Manage and strengthen relationships with content and event agencies across JAPAC
  • Act as the primary escalation point, setting and enforcing quality and delivery standards
  • Align agencies to clear expectations, processes, and compliance requirements
  • Partner closely with internal marketing, content, and regional stakeholders
  • Build a collaborative, high-performing agency ecosystem

Operational Excellence

  • Implement and maintain global SOPs across content and event operations
  • Establish and manage SLAs, QA checkpoints, and end-to-end workflows
  • Oversee campaign and event delivery timelines, milestones, and dependencies
  • Maintain routing and assignment models aligned to agency capability and capacity
  • Proactively identify and resolve operational risks and inefficiencies

Budget, Reporting & Governance

  • Manage agency budgets with strong oversight of POs, invoices, and spend tracking
  • Deliver clear KPI reporting across delivery velocity, quality, ROI, and efficiency
  • Support leadership reporting and quarterly business reviews
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimisation and process improvement

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years’ experience in agency management, content operations, or marketing operations
  • Proven experience working in regional or global operating models
  • Strong project management capability with a track record of delivery under pressure
  • Solid financial acumen across PO management, invoicing, and budget reporting
  • Confidence working with multiple stakeholders across time zones
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complexity and drive alignment
  • Comfortable using project management tools, CMS platforms, asset libraries, and event tech
