Our client is a well-established commercial law firm in Australia. They are a mid-sized firm with a strong reputation for their culture and expertise. They have diverse practice areas covering a range of industries.

We are seeking a Float Secretary to join the team on a full-time basis to provide legal, administrative support across a range of practice areas, including Workers' Compensation, Insurance Litigation, Workplace Relations, and Wills & Estates. This role would suit someone with 1-3 years of experience in a similar role.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and maintaining multiple calendars, monitoring court and client deadlines, and providing timely reminders
  • Preparing files, drafting legal documents, court documents, and correspondence
  • Filing court documents online in various jurisdictions
  • Organising and maintaining both digital and physical files
  • Coordinating meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements
  • Typing, word processing, and collating correspondence and other documentation
  • Assisting with billing, including time entry, bill preparation, review, and finalisation
