General Manager – Luxury Hotel – Queenstown NZ Location
Salary - $200K NZD + Kiwi Saver + 30% Bonus
Australia / New Zealand candidates considered – Relocation Package Available
Full Time, Permanent Role.

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead a high-profile luxury hotel for a globally recognised hospitality group based in the fantastic resort town of Queenstown, New Zealand.

Reporting to senior regional leadership, you will take full responsibility for the hotel’s performance, including operations, financial results, guest experience, and team leadership.

The hotel has recently acquired new owners who are investing back into the business heavily and plan to renovate over the next 2-3 years – these extensive renovations would be project managed by this GM and therefore prior experience in hotel renovations are essential for this role.

Please note - our client is happy to offer a relocation package for candidates who live outside of Queenstown.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setting and executing the hotel’s strategic direction and business plan
  • Driving top-line revenue and bottom-line profitability
  • Leading, inspiring, and developing a high-performing Executive Team
  • Ensuring exceptional guest experience and service delivery
  • Overseeing all operational functions including Rooms, Food & Beverage, Sales, Marketing, and Finance
  • Managing owner, investor, and key stakeholder relationships
  • Leading budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis
  • Delivering CAPEX projects and continuous asset improvement
  • Maintaining compliance across regulatory, financial, and operational standards

About You:

  • Proven experience as a General Manager or senior hotel leader
  • Background in luxury or premium hotels
  • Proven experience in project management particularly within hotel renovations
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen
  • Experience managing owners and key stakeholders
  • Passionate, hands-on leader with a focus on team and culture
