Outbound Sales Consultant – Work from Home

Location: Remote, Australia-wide

We are partnering with a respected private higher education provider to recruit an enthusiastic Outbound Sales Consultant to join their growing national team. This organisation delivers innovative programs across the creative industries and has a strong presence across Australia’s east coast.

In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for prospective students, guiding them through their education journey with a consultative, relationship-based approach. This is a great opportunity to use your sales and communication skills to help individuals take the next step in their careers or studies.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Engaging with prospective students by phone and email

  • Qualifying leads and guiding them through the enrolment journey

  • Booking consultations and nurturing student relationships

  • Meeting sales targets and collaborating with the wider marketing team

  • Accurately managing CRM data

You’ll Bring:

  • Experience in outbound sales or customer service with a sales focus

  • A confident phone manner and strong written communication skills

  • Great organisational habits and comfort with CRM systems

  • A proactive, self-motivated mindset

  • An interest in education or the creative industries (a bonus, not essential)

ROLE SUMMARY

The Outbound Sales Consultant plays a critical role in engaging with prospective students, managing lead pipelines, and

converting interest into enrolments. This role uses a consultative and relationship-based sales approach to understand

the unique motivations and goals of potential students and guide them toward courses that best suit their aspirations.

Working closely with the Marketing teams, the Outbound Sales Consultant ensures a high-quality experience from

initial contact through to enrolment.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead Management

  • Reach out to prospective students and influencers who have inquired or applied through various channels,

    primarily via phone calls, to qualify the lead readiness to commence at JMC Academy
  • Analyse and prioritise leads based on engagement level and likelihood to enroll
  • Execute targeted follow-up strategies using personalised communications
  • Respond promptly to inbound inquiries via email, phone, or instant messaging
  • Scheduling qualified leads for meetings with sales team members for further discussion and conversion.


  • Product Knowledge and Reporting

    Developing a high-level understanding of the institution's course offerings to effectively communicate their value to potential students and influencers.

  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of lead interactions within the Customer Relationship Management

    (CRM) system.
  • Work with Marketing to align messaging and improve lead generation


  • Performance
  • Collect and use feedback from leads to adjust engagement strategies
  • Meeting or exceeding established contact targets and contributing to the overall success of the sales team.
  • Able to receive feedback and apply feedback

    KEY ATTRIBUTES AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in sales (customer service experience will be considered, but this is a sales role)
  • An engaging approach to communicating with potential customers (students)
  • Proficiency with CRM systems including segmentation, lead scoring, and tracking
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills across diverse audiences
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of the higher education sector and creative industries will be desirable, but is not required











  • Customer empathy and interpersonal skills
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new systems and processes
  • Experience working collaboratively in a team environment and remotely
  • Strong English Language proficiency
