Performance Media Lead – Digital Marketing
Permanent full-time role

$120-130k+super +bonus

Our client, a leading global music company, is seeking a Performance Media Lead / Paid Media Manager to oversee their digital media campaigns. This is a senior, hands-on role with a strong managerial focus, leading a small but high-performing team and acting as an internal strategic partner across the business.

The Role

  • Lead and manage the performance media team, overseeing day-to-day operations while driving campaign strategy and execution.
  • Build and optimise campaigns across platforms such as Meta, TikTok, Google Ads, DV360, and more, balancing both artist promotion and eCommerce initiatives.
  • Act as a trusted internal partner to label and business stakeholders, managing budgets, setting expectations, and translating technical detail into clear recommendations.
  • Have difficult conversations with stakeholders when required, supported by senior leadership, maintaining credibility and authority.
  • Ensure campaigns are measured accurately, leveraging data to inform decisions and improve performance.
  • Develop and maintain the roadmap of services and expertise the team provides, positioning the team as an internal agency.
  • Stay informed on digital marketing trends, marketing technology, and innovation, continuously seeking ways to evolve campaigns and strategies.

About You

  • Extensive experience in digital media, ideally 6+ years in an agency environment, with a solid grounding in performance marketing.
  • Strong technical skills across paid media platforms, including tracking, attribution, and optimisation.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to manage senior stakeholders confidently and professionally.
  • Experienced in managing and mentoring team members, fostering growth, and maintaining team cohesion.
  • Detail-oriented, articulate, and able to hold yourself in solid, confident conversations.
  • Curious and proactive, keeping up with marketing technology, industry innovation, and emerging media trends.
