About the Role

As the Regulatory Administration Officer, you will be responsible for processing and assessing applications for practising certificates and licence renewals for solicitors in New South Wales. This role is central to ensuring the integrity of the licensing system, supporting them to meet their professional obligations, and assisting with the management of high-volume regulatory processes.

Working as part of a collaborative team, you will manage applications, maintain records, liaise with professional service firms, and process financial transactions while delivering excellent service to internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and process applications for new and varied solicitor licences.
  • Process licence renewals and related payments.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders to facilitate payment and allocation of licences.
  • Maintain accurate data and records.
  • Respond to telephone and email enquiries from solicitors, staff, and the public.
  • Process financial payments and refunds as required.
  • Provide general administrative support, including electronic and paper filing.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • Demonstrated administration experience, ideally within a regulatory or professional services environment.
  • Experience in processing high-volume applications or transactions with a strong focus on accuracy.
  • Customer service experience with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing demands.
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to maintain concentration during repetitive tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, databases, email, and internet applications.
