Risk Compliance Manager
Immediate start - Temp Contract
Location: Gladesville - Fully office based
$120k + super FTE

About the Role

As part of a prestigious education institution you will supports the leadership team and be responsible for the operational and administrative support of risk management tasks relating to organisational policies, risk assessment and management, and compliance.

You will solely manage the completion and maintenance of risk assessments, risk and compliance registers including accidents, risk alerts and near misses. Key tasks will also include the co-ordination of risk workshops, compliance audits, and research as required to assist in the promotion of a culture that is in continuous improvement in risk management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with implementation of risk management and compliance processes and procedures including risk assessments for events, excursions, tours and activities so that obligations are met in relation to regulatory, legal, compliance and operational requirements
  • Support the Leadership Team in creating a robust risk management and compliance culture and provide professional learning opportunities, training programs and guidance to staff in the areas of risk and compliance
  • Assist with comprehensive risk management reporting as required on risk and compliance to the Leadership Team and assist in training requirements and communication
  • In collaboration with executives, administer and maintain the Safeguarding Program
  • Demonstrate and ensure compliance with the Safeguarding Policy and Safeguarding Code of Conduct and undertake regular training in Safeguarding, including the Safety Standards

You’ll bring:

  • Relevant qualifications in law and/or business preferred
  • Experience in a comparable environment would be well-regarded
  • Understanding and responding to the mission of the organisation in terms of risk management
  • Knowledge and application of Risk and Compliance policies, procedures and processes
  • Developing and implementing risk plans and assessments to meet organisational needs
  • Ability to work independently, adapt and problem solve
  • Exceptional processing skills and attention to detail
  • Planning, prioritising and organising
  • Collaborate and assist in team building
  • Knowledge and application of risk management trends in the education sector
  • Computer skills to operate, develop and maintain the CompliSpace platform and other risk management tools
  • Strong interpersonal skills and confidence to communicate effectively with colleagues, both teaching and non-teaching
  • Experience of regulatory compliance in the education sector is preferred
