Senior Salesforce Program Architect

You are the Salesforce SME people turn to when the architecture decisions really matter.

Not just solution diagrams.

Not just technical opinions from the sidelines.

This role needs someone who can lead Salesforce architecture across a complex transformation program, set the standards, guide delivery teams, challenge vendors and make sure design decisions hold up over time.

The environment includes Salesforce Education Cloud and broader enterprise Salesforce capability.

Ideally, you will have direct Education Cloud experience.

At minimum, you need to understand Education Cloud, higher education operating models, Student 360-style ambitions and the architectural demands of delivering Salesforce properly in that environment.

This is a role for a genuine Salesforce specialist.

The role

As the Senior Salesforce Program Architect, you’ll provide enterprise architecture leadership and technical governance across a major Salesforce transformation program.

You’ll guide architecture across multiple workstreams, including platform foundations, data, integrations, strategic use cases, governance and future-state Salesforce capability.

You’ll work closely with the Senior Program Manager, delivery teams, business stakeholders, Salesforce, implementation partners and third-party vendors.

Your role will be to make sure the solution design is scalable, secure, integrated and aligned to long-term platform outcomes.

This will suit you if you are a Salesforce architect who can operate at program level, but still stay close enough to the platform to make practical, informed design calls.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll lead Salesforce solution architecture across the program.

You’ll establish reusable architecture patterns, platform standards and design guardrails.

You’ll provide architectural assurance across program workstreams.

You’ll guide integration architecture between Salesforce and the broader enterprise technology landscape.

You’ll make sure Salesforce design decisions align with security, data sharing, authentication, environment management and release governance requirements.

You’ll provide expert Salesforce advice to support solution options, proof-of-concept activity and fit-for-purpose delivery decisions.

You’ll help establish and improve Salesforce governance and Centre of Excellence practices.

You’ll oversee custom development, configuration, data migration and release practices.

You’ll work with Salesforce, implementation partners and third-party vendors to manage technical risks, dependencies and delivery confidence.

You’ll translate complex architectural decisions into clear advice that business, academic and technical stakeholders can understand.

What we’re looking for

You must be a Salesforce SME.

You might currently be a Salesforce Program Architect, Salesforce Solution Architect, Salesforce Technical Architect, Enterprise Salesforce Architect or Senior Salesforce Architect.

You’ll bring substantial hands-on Salesforce experience in complex enterprise environments.

You’ll understand Salesforce architecture deeply across areas such as security, data sharing, authentication, integration, environment management, release governance and platform scalability.

Education Cloud experience would be highly valuable.

If you have not delivered Education Cloud directly, you’ll need to show that you understand its demands in a Salesforce program of work, particularly around higher education operating models, Student 360, data foundations and complex stakeholder engagement.

Salesforce Certified Application Architect and Salesforce Certified System Architect certifications would be highly regarded.

Equivalent recognised Salesforce architecture capability will also be considered.

You’ll be comfortable working across business, technical and vendor groups.

You’ll know how to make architecture practical, not theoretical.

You’ll be credible enough to guide senior stakeholders and technical teams, and strong enough to hold the line when design decisions need proper governance.

Location

Client are Brisbane based.

Brisbane-based candidates are very welcome and would spend regular time in the office.

We can also consider candidates in Sydney, Melbourne or other eastern Australian cities, provided you are willing to travel to Brisbane occasionally.

As a guide, there will be an expectation to attend the Brisbane office at least once per month.
