Senior Financial Accountant
$125,000 + Super (FTE) | Permanent
Part-time position(open to 3 or 4 days per week)
Location: Sydney CBD | Hybrid Work – 1 day WFH
Are you a hands-on finance professional who thrives in a busy, high-volume environment? We're looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join a close-knit finance team supporting the operations of a highly respected not-for-profit association supporting the hospitality industry.
Reporting to the CFO, the Senior Financial Accountant is a vital member of the finance team, responsible for supporting a wide range of accounting and finance functions across multiple entities. This hands-on role suits a detail-oriented individual who can effectively manage accounts receivable, and assist the CFO at a Senior Financial level including contributing to financial reporting, tax compliance and audits.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support with general ledger reconciliations, journals, inter-company transactions, and fixed asset registers.
• Assist with managing tax compliance including IAS, BAS, FBT, and income tax returns and lodgements.
• Assist with budgeting, financial statement preparation, audit processes, and EOFY reporting.
• End-to-end Accounts Receivable for multiple entities (including high-volume event receipting.)
• Work with internal stakeholders and external subsidiaries to resolve queries and provide finance support.
• Maintain accurate membership payment records in Salesforce (integrated with Xero).
• Help implement new systems and contribute to continuous process improvement.
What You Bring:
• Previous experience in a Financial Accountant position.
• CA or CPA qualified.
• Degree in Accounting (or equivalent qualification).
• Experience using & proficiency with Xero.
• Experience using Salesforce or similar CRMs is advantageous.
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with financial reporting tools.
• High attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Excellent time management and organisation.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
