Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver end-to-end month-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are consistently met
• Prepare, review and post month-end journals, including inventory, cost of sales, opex, accruals and prepayments
• Perform detailed monthly balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving variances
• Manage and review large volumes of transaction data from multiple operational and financial systems
• Review weekly bank journals and liaise with operational teams to resolve discrepancies
• Maintain a strong control environment and support internal governance requirements
• Support internal and external audits, including preparation of supporting schedules and reconciliations
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• Identify opportunities to improve month-end processes, reconciliations and reporting efficiency
• Provide guidance and support to junior finance team members as required

About you

You are a detail-driven finance professional who takes ownership of outcomes and is confident working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. You are comfortable dealing with complexity and pride yourself on producing clean, accurate balance sheets.

You will bring:

• CA or CPA qualification
• 5+ years’ experience in financial accounting or similar month-end focused roles
• Strong hands-on experience with month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations
• Exposure to high-volume transaction environments(multi-entity or operationally complex preferred)
• Advanced Excel capability and confidence working with large data sets
• Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
• Clear communication skills and the ability to partner effectively with non-finance stakeholders
• Experience in hospitality, tourism, retail or other operationally intensive industries (advantageous)
